Mai Tai or Margarita

I met an old man down in the Florida panhandle,
and we got talking one day.
He told me he was headed out to sea;
him and his dog were gonna sail away.
He said, “The mainland ain’t what it used to be,
and it’s getting hard to just get out of bed.
I’ve gotta go somewhere I can breathe,
and I’ll tell you something else …”, he said.
He said, “Now, I don’t know just where I’m gonna go; maybe Maui or Costa Rica.
But man, I want my biggest choice to be,
“Do I want a MaiTai or Margarita?”.
What that man said, it stuck right in my head,
and I thought about it for a couple of years.
Those visions would hit me so hard and fast,
especially after 5 or 6 beers.
I started getting real depressed, some days I’d barely get dressed,
and I knew if something didn’t change, I’d be dead.
So I bought a boat, gave away my winter coat,
called up my friends and this is just what I said …
I said, “Now, I don’t know just where I’m gonna go;
maybe Maui or Costa Rica.
But man, I want my biggest choice to be,
“Do I want a MaiTai or Margarita?”.
Yeah!
